Compassion – How we know it, how we feel it, how it finds us

I met Liz when I first started working for Mindful Yoga Therapy. We met at the Sedona Yoga Festival in 2014 and became fast friends. Liz is a complete bad-ass, yet graceful and compassionate at the same time.

Its own world, own language,

Undefined by anything other than what the heart recognizes as home.

A land to get lost in without worrying that the front porch light won’t be on.

A midnight trail that will always lead to the other side of the dark woods

a human heart that accepts without receiving.

an agenda-less agent of presence

a sponge for every drop of bitter judgment felt for the small self

a knowingness of history, wisdom of experience, a heart just as broken and bruised that it sees itself everywhere and in anyone else.

Compassion is the only one who is still tapped into Source

Knows the beginning and end of everything will bring the river back to love,

and therefore, all that flows is already made up of the droplets of compassion.
