Water Buffalo Bone - is a traditional material used in malas in both Nepal and Tibet. Bone signifies strength and is said to amplify prana (life force energy.) Tibetan nomadic life is hard, and there is little to eat in the cold. Water buffalo is the main staple in Nepal and Tibet, and when an animal is used for food, nothing is wasted.
