I found MalaforVets about a year ago. From day one I was extremely impressed with the mission of the organization. Then I got to know Chris a little better. I learned that he too was fighting the battle of PTSD. I have been dealing with PTSD since my first deployment to Iraq in 2004, as a Combat Medic. I have been searching for years on ways to deal with this monster. I have tried many things, some good some not so good. I finally found Yoga and Buddhism. It is a combination that has helped me for the last 2 or 3 years. It’s not a miracle cure and sometimes it brings up more things. But for the most part it brings me a moment or more of peace.
About a year ago I was looking for a Mala for a practice I was beginning and happened upon this website. I was amazed while, reading the “About” page, what the mission of this company was trying to accomplish. The Malas I have received have been amazing. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing you can really feel the love and dedication put into each piece. The work that Chris does supporting other organizations is great and inspiring. It has been wonderful watching this Seva project grow and I look forward to seeing where it goes in the future. Thank you so much Chris for all you do for me and the Veteran community. Please, keep up the great work.
