I was on the phone the other day with a Vocational Rehab specialist. I've talked with him several times in the past year. I noticed when ever I talked with him, I always felt happy. I got a sense that my request for this benefit was just about to be approved. This has not been the case, but this guy just always gave me that warmfuzzy that it was 'just' about to happen. This is a stark comparison to the other phone conversations I have had over the past year with the VA and DFAS.
I often wonder if and when they review my recorded conversations...exactly what happens?
Back to Mr. Voc-Rehab. I gave him a compliment on how he always made me feel positive. His response?
"Its just as easy to treat someone kindly as it is to treat them poorly!"
YEP! It is just that easy! So as you go about your day today...you have a choice. Be compassionate and kind...or mean and ill-willed. Both will have a lasting effect.
