BattleTested Seva

Battle Tested Veterans uses the power of story and first person narratives to challenge common stereotypes about veterans like:

1. Veterans are heroes but not good hires

2. Officers are more valuable veterans than enlisted veterans

3. All veterans have PTSD

We do this through an annual storytelling event and a podcast available online. Our website is currently being rebuilt, so check us out on Facebook, Instagram or Stitcher.

These items were donated by Dharmashop.com  Some of the items have been re-built by Chris. Please take some time to visit my friends over at Dharmashop.com and thank them...and maybe even buy a few items too.

Magnesite will strongly enhance your meditation, and help you to feel more relaxed. Its vibration may help you to contact your spirit guides...and its action may awaken psychic powers that you have previously been unaware of. Rudraksha - is believed to increase the ability to concentrate, giving clarity and peace of mind, improves memory and relieve stress and anxiety. Rudraksha is also known to slow the aging process, increase stamina, reduce blood pressure, strengthen the heart and balances the nervous system. Not only that, but the auspicious Rudraksha beads are believed to bestow divine protection and increase abundance and prosperity. It is believed that the Rudraksha contains the secrets of the entire evolution of the cosmos within it. According to the ancient Vedas, Shiva cried tears of compassion for humanity and his tears became Rudraksha Seeds to assist humanity in our healing. By meditating with a Rudraksha mala or by wearing Rudraksha against the skin, it is believed to increase the ability to concentrate, giving clarity and peace of mind, improve memory and relieve stress and anxiety.

OM - The "Om" represents the four divine states of Brahman - metta (loving kindness), karuna (compassion), mudita (sympathetic joy), and upekkha (equanimity). The syllable OM, which is the imperishable Brahman, is the universe. Whatsoever has existed, whatsoever exists, and whatsoever shall exist hereafter, is OM. And whatsoever transcends past, present, and future, that also is OM. Brahman can be viewed as divinity – both the divinity within the Self and everything else which is divine, including that which creates divinity.  A technique that can help if you are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with the concept of Brahman is to replace it with whatever word you associate with a higher power.  It can be God, Jesus, Buddha, Mother Nature or anything else that represents the divine to you. Om is the sound that represents this higher power and its connection to each of us. During meditation, when we chant OM, we create within ourselves a vibration that attunes sympathy with the cosmic vibration and we start thinking universally. The momentary silence between each chant becomes palpable. Mind moves between the opposites of sound and silence until, at last, it ceases the sound. In the silence, the single thought—OM—is quenched; there is no thought. This is the state of trance, where the mind and the intellect are transcended as the individual self merges with the Infinite Self in the pious moment of realization. It is a moment when the petty worldly affairs are lost in the desire for the universal. Such is the immeasurable power of OM.
